OUR JUDGES

The Arlington International Film Festival (AIFF) organizers are thrilled to announce the Jury Members for the 13th annual Film Festival scheduled November 2 - 5, 2023 at the Capitol Theatre in East Arlington. Each year, AIFF invites and appoints Jurors who hold sole responsibility for choosing the films that will be screened as well as the films that receive awards. These jurors were chosen for their knowledge, creativity, innovation, and experience in the film industry and will be judging over 2500 submissions received from as near as Boston and as far away as Iran.

This year, AIFF invites Akasa Stephe Angba, Kate Bernhardt, Alice Bouvrie, Barbara Costa, Vivian Ducat, Peter Frumkin, Iván Giroud Gárate, Zoë Kooyman, Peyman Naeemi, and Hasan Najmabadi to join our jury.

AIFF is also proud to support young filmmakers, and we assign a separate panel of jurors to the High School film category. This year, AIFF invites Padriac Farma, Agustín Vergara, and ShiJie Weng.

Congratulations to the Jurors and we look forward to enjoying their selections with you at the screenings in November!

Additionally, AIFF has a collaborator in Argentina:

Carla Chasco is an art critic specializing in film, from Buenos Aires Argentina, currently pursuing a curatorial studies degree at UNA. She has previously worked as a costume designer but nowadays is advocating on the other side of the film.
