AMERICA VIVA: CULTURAL AMBASSADORS

NEW LAND THEATRICALS artists are freelance dancers, musicians, singers, teachers, and above all advocates, based in different countries and connecting in different ways from presential to online. Beyond skillfulness and virtuosity, the motivations that bring them together are humanism and self-identity, forming a flexible and dynamic “mestizo” collective with a timely sense of mission as global citizens of the Americas.

They are cultural ambassadors at different levels carrying a conciliatory message that flourishes spontaneously from their mestizo identity and the multiple traditions behind them, exploring how Middle Eastern, Andalusian, West African and Amerindian elements interweave and are present in dance and music genres of the Americas, and continuously rediscovering through rehearsals and workshops the connections between their contrasting cultural roots.

They are proud of their multi ethnic heritage and enthusiastic about promoting intercultural dialogue through the performing arts, having a clever perception of the challenges of such communication and a high level of self-awareness of their mestizo as a strength to achieve this purpose.
