Our founder, Alberto Guzman, was selected as a member of the jury for the 2nd annual Nepal Cultural International Film Festival. We are happy to share further information about the Festival from our friends in Nepal.
Nepal Culture and Film Centre (NCFC) has decided to organise 2nd Nepal cultural international film festival-2020 virtually. The information to organise Nepal Cultural International Film Festival (2nd NCIFF) 2020 was announced by press release through the official website of 2ndNciff.
The organisers have revealed that a cultural film festival of an international standard will be held from 1st to 29th of December via official social media platforms.
Chairman Santosh Subedi explained about the festival stating that support and assistance from everyone is crucial since the program is of an international standard. ‘The festival will be fruitful as it will also have 40+ films from 24+ countries and varieties of interactions and discussion programs among the filmmakers from Nepal and abroad’, he added.
The festival aims to have a cultural exchange among Nepal and other participating countries. The entry of films was made through the Filmfreeway site.
President of NCFC Santosh Subedi talked about clarifying the purpose of the festival that the program will be organized in a grand, civilised and cultured manner.
The 1st of December will be the grand opening ceremony through virtual media which Ncfc team members, Chief guest, selected filmmakers, jury members, actors, film industrialists and the vip guest will be invited to attend the virtual festival.
From the 3rd to 18th December selected films will be screened. Each day 5 films from different categories from different country will be screened virtually and will incorporate Q&A Session with the film makers after the screening of the film.
The final Award distribution ceremony will be held on 29th December.
The organisers are assured that the festival will be grand since it will have participants from Nepal and different other countries. The Festival will give away awards and appreciation based on their admiration.
The festival will also include full length feature films, short films, documentaries, movies made about women and children while awards including public choice award, jury award, encouragement award will be given away in eight different categories.
