(note: in the event of inclement weather the event will be held indoors in our sanctuary)
This event is being held in solidarity with our Muslim friends and neighbors and to support World Hijab Day (WHD) which recognizes the millions of Muslim women who choose to wear the hijab and live a life of modesty. WHD was created as a means to foster religious tolerance and understanding by inviting women (non-Hijabi Muslims/non-Muslims) to experience the hijab for one day. Women participating in the vigil encourage to cover their heads in solidarity with Muslim women. if you have extra scarves you are willing to lend to other women, please bring those along too.
