Due to the uncertainty of the evolving situation regarding COVID 19, we have taken the difficult decision to postpone this year's film festival until November 19-22, 2020. Weighing up the potential fallout of a last-minute cancellation, we came to the conclusion that it was in the best interest of our visiting filmmakers, patrons, and volunteers, to take this action. 2020 is an exciting year for us as we celebrate our 20th anniversary, and we want to do everything we can to make sure it’s a success for everyone involved.

We look forward to seeing all of our supporters Nov 19-22 at the Somerville Theatre. Ticket(s) will be valid for our November screening and we do not anticipate any major changes to the program but we will update our website with further event details as they are confirmed. Synopsis: A love letter to Galway from her artistic community. Through the eyes of six Galway artists, this art film explores the confluences which have shaped Galway and Connemara’s unique cultural fabric. Feature artists include writer Mike McCormack, poet Rita Ann Higgins, singer Róisín Seoighe, street theatre director Noeline Kavanagh, visual artist Pádraic Reaney, and musician Máirtín O’Connor. Comedian Tommy Tiernan also adds his distinctive voice to Cumar.
